It was a very nice, older hotel. Getting to the highway was very easy. We got in late and left early so we did not get to see all the hotel had to offer.
This was my first stay at the hotel. The room was on the 7th floor. It overlooked both parts of the city and the mountains. The room was comfortable and clean, and the heating and air conditioning was both effective and fairly quiet. The room was updated fairly recently, so the bathroom was appointed nicely, and the room had a refrigerator, microwave, and coffee maker. The room also came with free wifi, which was of good speed, and a complimentary breakfast, which was good. It included bacon, eggs, potatoes, yogurt, granola, bagels, orange juice, apple juice, coffee, and hot water for tea and hot cereal.
Overall, I was pleased with the accommodations.
The hotel is beautiful and full of characters. I enjoyed staying at the Ben Lomond Suites and will be back again. The front desk staff are friendly and helpful.
Though the two-mile drive to downtown Ogden from I-84 is a bit dusty, the hotel is a delight. The rooms are clean and spacious, and furnished with amazing period furniture including sofas, chairs, desks, and armoires concealing TVs. Our king-size bed was very comfortable. All the architectural details of this historic hotel are intact, and the interior spaces of the lobby and restaurant are positively exuberant. The breakfast buffet featured the standard fare, except that the scrambled eggs, potatoes, and bacon actually tasted great for a change. Finally, the staff was excellent. We will stay at the Ben Lomond Suites every time we visit Ogden.Pros: Breakfast, furnishings, spaciousness, beautiful architecture.Location: Many travelers prefer to be near the Interstate, but this was worth the extra drive.
The new restaurant on 11th floor is terrific....i ate there both nights of my stay.
The accommodations and service were excellent for the price that we paid.
Although we stayed just one night, the staff were all friendly and accommodating. The breakfast that was included was very good, and the waitress was very efficient and gracious.
Great experience! I was very pleased and surprised by this hotel experience.
This was third time we spent time at Ben Lomond, and the staff is very nice, and treat us with most care and friendliness. We will be back again in December, and they let us leave some winter things behind, these details means a LOT!
We stay here fairly often and have had excellent experience with staff and spacious suites. Thank you.
My wife and I wanted to get away for our anniversary. We choose this hotel because of it's reputation. The staff was amazing. They allowed me to check in early to get roses in the room to surprise her. The room and the visit were perfect.
Very nice suites and the hotel staff were very friendly helpful. The covered parking was convienent and was good to have during the snowstorm.
excellent...will come back again soon for another wonderful weekend get away with my wife.
nice clean hotel; excellent views. Exceeded expectations
Everything with the hotel was great! I thought the decor was charming - loved the windows in the hallways.
Stay here frequently and always very good.
Nice Hotel for the money excellent location
Very nice stay
Very friendly and helpful staff. Great location!
I stayed here several years ago and it has improved greatly since then. A very good experience.
Entire staff were really great. Assistant Manager always greeted us. We were given ideas of places to eat and site seeing, breakfast was awesome. Thank you so much for a great stay and experience. We'll be back again. Aloha.12/2/11
I stayed here because of the pass to Gold's Gym. That was a great perk, thank you!
My wife and I live in MT and frequent Ogden often to watch our daughter play basketball for WSU. From our 1st stay 3 years ago we have never stayed anywhere else. I recommend it to everyone and the ladies at the front desk are extremely nice and helpful.
Enjoyed the history of the Hotel. Visited Union Station and enjoyed my stay in Ogden and business with Autoliv.
ry nice place to stay. The gal who runs the breakfast service is very friendly and accommodating. She does a wonderful job!
The hotel was beautiful and the staff were very kind and friendly. Our wonderfully large suite was on the 2nd floor and did not have a very good view. I'm sure if I had asked, they would have accommodated us by moving us to a higher floor.
It was wonderful especially with 5 people in our family. We enjoyed having two rooms. Thank you.
I intend to stay at this property during my next visit.
The staff and the visitation was excellent, even the morning meal was very good. and the cleaness of the room was excellent. The person in the front desk had such a nice marketing skill to make me feel Welcome. Thanks
Good value. I recommended this hotel to others.
I was pleasantly surprised with the value of this hotel. Very nice hotel. I would definitely stay again.
Good value. Very acceptable accommodations.
Well satisfied in all respects.
I was very pleasantly surprised with this hotel. I liked the ambiance of the public areas and the hotel's location to the historic 25th Street district. I was upgraded to a very large suite, which I appreciated very much. Breakfast was a nice bonus.
I loved the Ben Lomond Hotel. The staff was great, the room was clean and attractive, the air conditioning good, the WIFI great, the parking was Great, the breakfast was wonderful and it was convenient to my destination. I could not have asked for more!
Here is the English translation if you do not speak German:
As we entered the Ben Lomond Hotel, one could guess at the Grand Hotel of the past. Many of the historic details are still visible. But the history could be preserved even better. The room was very spacious. There was a separate large room with sitting area and desk. The bedroom had very comfortable bedding. From our room we had a great view of Historic 25th Street. It was a very good value. The breakfast was plentiful and very tasty.
I was delighted with the hotel: it was the best acommodation, and the best value, I found in the course of a cross-country trip. I wish I could have stayed longer!
I usually don't make comments but I was so impressed by the help that I wanted let some one know. The lady at the desk went out of her way to help us on every thing. Now days it is hard to find that kind of customer service.
Front desk staff has been very helpful and friendly. The rooms are well-appointed and comfortable. I am very happy with both of my experiences at the Ben Lomond and will stay there regularly.
