Winter Fun
Ogden City was an official Venue City for the 2002 Olympic Winter Games. All qualifying and medal rounds for men's and women's curling were held at The Ice Sheet located on the campus of Weber State University.
Seventeen miles east of Ogden, Snowbasin Ski Resort hosted all of the alpine speed events including the men's and women's Downhill, Super G, and Combined competitions, as well as the speed and technical alpine events for the Paralympic Games that followed.

Heli-skiing

If you've always dreamed of 3,000 vertical feet of fresh powder all to yourself, Craig Olsen can make your dreams come true. Olsen is co-owner of Diamond Peak heli-skiing. "It's a dream run, "Olsen says. "There are no groomed runs or trails. There are no cleared runs. We ski natural terrain."
Olsen's fleet of choppers can take you to the top of several northern Utah mountains, which are privately owned. Through special leasing arrangements with landowners, Diamond Peak has access to acres of private land. "It's just you and a guide," he says.
